Audrey's Trash the Dress

At the end of September we had some serious fun! With four photographers and a videographer, Stone Ridge Photographers went to War Eagle Mill with Audrey, a lovely young woman whose wedding we shot two years ago. We wanted to do a TTD, asked her, and she happily agreed.

What a terrific model! She had a blast, we all had a great time, and committed some serious photography in the process. Here is a collage I put together from all our hundreds of images:

Next, our videographer - Cary with Mill Hollow Productions - and I created a video of the event, which is located at http://youtube.com/watch?v=J_wqnIXwzY4. We have gotten quite a few inquiries about this shoot, and have several on the books for the spring. Can't wait to do the next one!

The NWA Wedding Professionals is getting a new makeover! It is just taking longer than anticipated! We are adding MANY MANY more vendors, bridal message boards, and more FAQ's!

Another unique thing we are going to have is an actual location in Fayetteville. We will be open once a month for brides to come out and pick up pamphlets and view portfolios in person. Coming soon!

WE had fun in January, shooting quite a few events for Celebrate Arkansas magazine. One of the coolest was to shoot the cover story and cover shot for the February 2007 magazine, which has just come out. So take a look at the February issue to see the cover below and more cool shots!

Leslie & Paxton! Yay!

Gorgeous Leslie & Paxton! Married October 28 at Bell Gable with a reception at Scarpino's! Leslie married in the early afternoon and had a nice break for guests to relax. After about a 5 hour break I went to the reception to photograph the party. It was so awesome to have that break. Lori and I put together a slideshow of the wedding earlier that day for the reception as a surprise to the bride. It also gave us time to make some 8x10 prints and we had them framed to put up at the reception. The pause between the wedding & reception was brilliant! Congratulations to Leslie & Paxton!

Sarah & Carlo's Engagement Portrait

Sarah and Carlo flew in from sunny San Diego last week to visit Sarah's parents, work on wedding arrangements, go to a Razorback football game, and get their engagement portrait taken. It couldn't have been a better weekend! The weather was clear, cool, and crisp, and the trees were just beginning their full swing to fall colors!

A week after we did Sarah's sister's engagement portrait (Whitney and Sergio), we had the fun task of shooting a different couple in the same place, but come away with a different look. We went a different route around campus, used different locations, and had them do some different things, and the final result is a set of images that came out wonderfully, showing the uniqueness of Sarah and Carlo, still in the familiar setting of the University of Arkansas' beautiful campus.

The collage above will be included in the shots, and is best ordered as an 8x10. We look forward to doing Sarah's bridal portrait in the Spring, and their wedding in October in Fayetteville!

Lena & Doug's Orange Wedding!

Lena Regina - wedding photographer, mom, student, belly dancer, and more - married Doug week before last in a fun, bright, colorful, delightful ceremony. Lena is a belly dance instructor, and they have an annual Shimmyfest exhibition. She and Doug decided at the last minute to get married after Shimmyfest while all their family and friends were already there. What fun! After the ceremony the dancers performed a zeffa - Egyptian for noise - to congratulate the couple. Below is a collage of pictures we took that night - click on the collage to see it larger.

Crystal and Jay's Thunderstorm Wedding

Crystal and Jay were married at Thorncrown Chapel on Sept. 22 - the prototypical dark and stormy night! The rain started just as the bride was escorted into the chapel, and a lightning storm continued until the reception at the Basin Park Hotel was nearly over.
